Each year the charity takes part in a number of events and we are always on the lookout for new recruits to join Team Alfie. Take a look and see if you fancy joining us for one or more of the fundraisers below.

Runbalmoral – 22nd and 23rd April

This is an annual event open to all ages and abilities. Each year Alfie’s Trust encourages supporters to join Team Alfie at RunBalmoral. Taking place around the grounds of Balmoral Estates in Aberdeenshire, RunBalmoral is a great family day out, with distances from 1.5km – 2.5km for primary and secondary-school children, through to 5 and 10km on Saturday and a 15-mile trail run and Duathlon, which takes place on Sunday. Register with RunBalmoral and then drop us an email to say you are joining Team Alfie. All we ask is that you raise a minimum of £60 sponsorship. We will send you an Alfie’s Trust t-shirt to help raise further awareness on the day.

Aberdeen and Deeside Kiltwalk – 4th June

Aberdeen and Deeside Kiltwalk is another annual fundraising event in which Alfie’s Trust enters a team. There is a choice of three walks – an 8-mile route, a 15-mile route and a 26-mile marathon. All are along the Deeside Way and end with a celebration at Potarch.

Those taking on the 26-mile route starts at the Duthie Park, the 15-mile walk starts from The Glebe at Drumoak, while the 8-mile walkers start in Banchory. Children over 5 years of age can tackle the 8-mile walk provided they’re accompanied by an adult, and the 26-mile route is open to over-13s (adults must accompany all under-15s).

The Kiltwalk is open to anyone wishing to raise money for any Scottish Charity. 100% of what you raise will come to Alfie’s Trust. All we ask is that you pay your entry fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £60 sponsorship for our cause. We will supply you with a Team Alfie t-shirt to wear on the day to help raise further awareness.
