Each year the charity takes part in a number of events and we are always on the lookout for new recruits to join Team Alfie. Take a look and see if you fancy joining us for one or more of the fundraisers below.
This is an annual event in which Alfie’s Trust enters a team. Taking place around the grounds of Balmoral Estate, RunBalmoral is a great family day out, with distances from 1.5km – 2.5k for primary and secondary-school children, through to 5 and 10km on the Saturday and a 15-mile trail run and Duathlon which takes place on Sunday. Aberdeen and Deeside Kiltwalk
Aberdeen and Deeside Kiltwalk is another annual fundraising event in which Alfie’s Trust enters a team. There is a choice of two walks – an 8-mile route or a 26-mile marathon. Both are along the Deeside Way and end with a celebration at Potarch.
Those taking on the 26-mile route start at the Duthie Park, while the 8-mile walkers start in Banchory. Children over 5 years of age can tackle the 8-mile walk provided they’re accompanied by an adult, and the 26-mile route is open to over-13s (adults must accompany all under-15s).
Kiltwalkers are asked to raise a minimum of £200 (£50 for under-16s), with proceeds being split between a number of Scottish children’s’ causes and now we get all money donated minus gift aid. If you’d like more information, or to register as part of Team Alfie please contact ku.gr1498462956o.enl1498462956imeif1498462956la@yc1498462956art1498462956.
